Mom was taken away from all of us sunday morning (Sun 1 Feb) after a very short period with an aggressive typed cancer, and she was aware of this for only a short time also - thank god. Funeral service was performed today (Fri 6 Feb).

I''m sorry for your loss and wish you peace during this difficult time. The only thought I have comes in the form of advice, so you can stop reading now if you don't want to hear it. What I learned when my dad passed away is that all kinds of emotions and experiences are going to occur, some of them quite surprising. Just let them happen without trying to 'be' a certain way.

My dad was diagnosed with multiple myeloma last August. He is under treatment and kind of stable right now. But you know how, with diseases like these, the fear always lingers, the thoughts always sober...
I'm very sorry to hear that. I've had a close family member die very suddenly of multiple myeloma, which is very painful and aggressive. I can't say I know how you feel because everyone's situation is different, but I do sympathize.

Jeg mistede min far på samme måde for omkring 10 år siden (født 1942). Når jeg tænker tilbage, er jeg egentlig glad for at han ikke skulle lide mere end højst nødvendigt. I don't know you and I didn't know your mum but my thoughts and condolences go out to you after your sad loss. It's almost exactly a year ago that my dad was diagnosed with the same terrible disease - he died in August last year. They are both in a better place - a place without pain.
