Incredible how you know to capture the mood in the forest. Not just on this picture. I'm very impressed!

This is amazing! You've taken a mundane scene and you've made it >POP

Talk about a mood setter here in the forest. I'm loving the way the rest of the forest is just left somewhere out there while the tree is made the primary element. Really great capture. You must be proud!

    0 Lisbeth

    Now THIS is nice!!!

    0 Richard H

I loved the last one, but this one blows it away. The blue/green split is awesome.
It's kind of cool how the main tree looks like it's holding arms in the air... perhaps running through the opening towards the blue light.

    0 zeppelin

    tout simplement délicieux!

    0 Olivier

Very nice ambiance ! I like this colors...

    0 Dave

    0 Amin

    very nice

    0 Kenny

    Thanks everyone!

As for the question on how to achieve these colors, it is just a matter of playing around with the white balance and camera calibration (Adobe RAW converter/CS3). Just a lot of playing around in RAW. No postprocessing is done afterwards in PS.

True PiXistenZ... It has to be better... Amazing processing skills :)

    0 Kenny

    Thanks!

I think it is true that it looks like something underwater, and I have changed the title accordingly, thanks. Should have named it correctly in the first place ;)

    0 PiXistenZ

Even better than the previous one.

    0 Alice

Very nice. Looks like something from a scary movie. Nice toning.

Lovely light... The tree in the foreground seems beautifully isolated, and I like how it's sharp ;) The whole image feels really dense.

    0 ROB

What a great 3D feel, and now I read some other comments, it does also seem a little undersea-ish

    0 digital photography

    yeah very moody :)

    0 oldshutterhand

    The underwater forest. Very good.

    0 Sean

The soft lighting and blue-green colors really give this shot an ethereal feel to it.

he colour cast gives this image a totally different temperature and sense of day. In many ways I actually like this image better than the similar previous example.
I think the light is more consistent and the attributed tone and impression follow accordingly.

    0 Guido

beautiful effect, I like the light and the colours
