I like the starkness of the photo. Do you know if the tree burnt down?

    0 Timo

Nice shot... use any fill for the tree? Or just photoshop?

    0 eli

Wonderful image; the detail that really makes the shot for me is the small patch of dry grass at the base of the tree; the contrast of this with the green grass and burn in the backround is really great.

    0 Shore

    0 Kenny

    Thanks a lot everyone!

I really love these fire enabled photos myself. This is controlled burning of grass, the only thing allowed. If you were looking for an uncontrolled fire/forest fire you saw wrong ;)

    0 Jon Swainson

Great shot. It looks like hell is bursting free.

    0 photoDude

    stunning

0 Thomas Solberg / Project neXus

I like the composition with the tree to the right. And the almost orange shot is really cool with the slight hint of noise

    0 Brant

Very powerful. Would love to know the story behind this image.

    0 Ovidiu

    0 Richard Houtby

    0 photogenic

..and wood:)Both are superb but I like this better than the one before. The tree makes it even more stunning.

    0 geckonia

The smoke is wonderful. I like how it totally fills the frame. The flames are so small... I think that makes the smoke look even more amazing.

    0 Chris

    Nice picture, Kenny, as usual!

    0 Wink

Do you use a camera or a wand? Magical shot.

    0 Andy

LOVE this photo! Do you by chance sell prints? E-mail me! :)

    0 Jeff Ambrose

Wow I'm really surprised you were able to get that close to the actual fire.

    0 riesenriel

    Absolute stunning!!!! Very good comnposed.

"I Fell Into A Burning Ring Of Fire
    I Went Down, Down, Down

    It burns, it burns!

    0 What The Heck Journal

Yeah, we were pretty lucky that day.
I have to agree with Arkady about the white areas in the tree, which is a little annoying. But it is a high quality photograph as usual.

amazing shot! great contast between the green grass in the foregaround and the devestation further into the pic!

    0 tetsu

    Wow! danger! Impressive shot!

    0 Kenny

This is a one-shot. Details on the tree have been enhanced a little bit. Grain added to the sky/fire.

    0 arkady1200

It seems like the sky within the tree has patches of white, which is a bit distracting. Otherwise, this shot is gorgeous as usual. Is this a composite, and if so, of how many different shots?

"Excellent series. love it."
